‘You look well’. When these words are uttered to the mum of a newborn, with bags under her eyes, days-old clothes and unwashed hair, it usually only means one thing. You look thin. 

‘Wow, you didn’t put on any weight at all, you are so tiny!’ are the first words out of the mouth of a family friend of my boyfriend’s, who I have met once previously. I bump…
